Our Editorial Standards
Who writes these reviews, what we check before an operator is listed, and how we are paid
Everything on BonusLoots is written and fact-checked in-house by the BonusLoots editorial team. We publish under one masthead rather than under individual bylines, because a byline is a promise that a named person stands behind the work, and we would rather make a promise we can keep.
If you want to check something we have published, or tell us we have it wrong, write to us. Corrections are made on the page itself, and the review date is updated when they are.
What We Check Before Listing an Operator
The same six checks, in the same order, for every operator on the site
1. Licence
We take the licence number the operator publishes and look it up in the regulator's own public register. If the register does not confirm it, the operator is not listed — there is no score low enough to compensate.
2. Bonus terms
Wagering multiplier and what it applies to, game weighting, maximum bet while wagering, maximum cashout, and expiry. Where a condition materially changes what an offer is worth, we state it next to the offer rather than in a footnote.
3. Payments
Deposit and withdrawal methods, the processing times the operator commits to, minimum and maximum limits, and any fee. We record what is published and dated; where we have not verified a time ourselves, we do not present it as measured.
4. Safer gambling tools
Deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders, time-out and self-exclusion, and whether they are reachable from the account page without contacting support. Weak tools lower the rating regardless of how good the offer is.
5. Game library
Which studios supply the operator, whether RTP is disclosed per game, and whether the published RTP matches the provider's own figure. Operators sometimes run a lower-RTP configuration of the same title.
6. Complaints and support
Published contact channels, stated response times, and the operator's record with its regulator and with independent dispute services. A pattern of withdrawal complaints matters more than a fast live chat.
What We Do Not Claim
We do not claim to have personally played at every operator we list, and we do not attribute reviews to invented experts. Where a figure comes from the operator's own published terms, that is what it is — a published figure, not a measurement we made.
We do not publish tips, predictions or systems that imply a way to beat a game whose outcome is random. No staking plan changes the house edge, and any page that suggests otherwise is a page we should not have written.
We do not accept payment to raise a rating. What we do accept is described below.
How We Are Paid
BonusLoots earns a commission when a reader opens an account with an operator through a link on this site. That commission is paid by the operator and costs the reader nothing, but you should know it exists when you read a recommendation. Our affiliate disclosure sets out the arrangement in full.
Links that earn us a commission are marked. Where an operator has no commercial arrangement with us, the review is still published and the link still goes to our own review page.
Corrections
Bonus terms and payment limits change without notice, and a review that was accurate in March can be wrong by June. If you find something out of date or incorrect, tell us and we will check it against the operator's current terms. When we change a published figure, we update the review date on the page so you can see how fresh it is.
